Flood

We have recieved as much as ten inches of rain in some areas of our state; in the last 24-48 hours.

Andrew's unit was called up last night around 9 pm and have been activated to help with the flooding. He has not slepted all night. This is good training for him. I am so proud of him! :-)

I hope it stops raining soon!

New Church? ~ Churches?!

Several years ago, I have felt that the Lord was moving us in a different direction spiritually. Patiently I prayed and waited. Our church is our second family and it was hard to move on, move forward, resting and trusting in the Lord; during this process of change.

As you know the Lord speaks to me in dreams. I had a dream several months before Jay came home. The Lord spoke to me about the physical direction that he was leading us in.. he said NORTH. It was a very detailed dream, too much to type at this time.

A few months later I had another dream about two different houses; again very detailed. when Jay and I were on one of the marriage retreats we visited a church. That night, the Pastor that spoke, spoke on dream interpretation. As she interpreted the dream for me share shared how she felt the two house represented two churches and the Lord was giving us a choice. I was elated with what she had shared with us. I really believe that God allows His children to make choices and this is what he was saying.. no matter where we go to church (the building) we will be blessed! I was instantly set free from staying at our former church. The only thing that was keeping me there was guilt.. GUILT ~ FEAR of not obeying God, UGH PRAISE GOD for FREEDOM Huh!?! :-) NO guilt or fear here in Jesus name!

To make a long story short. We are falling deeper and deeper in LOVE with Jesus everyday. Our new church family is amazing. We are slowly getting to know people. I feel we are in a season of rest and growth. We are so encouraged to see God move in the lives of the people around us!

Another deployment ... deep sigh

Andrew was given a possible MOB date. This means they are pretty sure "WHEN" he will be deployed. The government always changes things, so I'm not going to hold my breath for this one. God is faithful in answering my prayer. Andrew will not be in the mountains of Afghanistan. PTL!! However his responsibility will be more dangerous than Jays, and communication will be more difficult. It may be weeks in between conversations.

I think the reality of this deployment finally hit Andrew. He came over the other night to talk. There are many things to think about and so many decisions to make. No one at the age of 21 wants to discuss possible funeral arrangements. Thank you Lord, for giving Andrew and Mom PEACE! I know that having Jay home during Andrew's deployment will make things much easier "for me". He has a way about talking me through things and he knows the TRUTH about different situations, casting down those vain imaginations from the enemy with truth is a great thing!

A few people asked me how I feel about Andrew deploying. I have not thought too much about it, until now. He is apart of me.. my son. tears... although he has become an amazing young man, he is still so young and has so much to learn about himself, and the world. I of course worry, pray, trust God for divine health and safety. ( I just used "worry" and "trust God" in the same sentence.. kind of an oxy moron?! but its my reality as an ARMY MOM). I know Andrew will grow and learn so much. I am excited for him, and I cannot wait to see how much this experience changes him into the man God created him to be. I have always spoken "leadership" over my children. Andrew is a leader. I believe Andrew will be used mightily for HIS KINGDOM!

More later...
